Chichester Cinema is celebrating its fortieth anniversary in 2019 and we are delighted to have worked with this fantastic independent venue. Almighty created the anniversary logo, a souvenir publication cover and a 40 second typographic movie with words by Emily Penny.
The animation is being used as an ident before the showing of forty specially selected films every Tuesday from 5th February.
The logo was created as a careful lock-up of parts, incorporating the existing logo. The elements can be pulled apart and used individually as needed across different channels. For example, the ruby icon is used to flag up the special celebration films in the programme, in print and online. The aim of the promotional movie and poster was to celebrate the diversity of films championed by the venue along with some universal truths about the cinema experience.
"Creating a vibrant brand for an important milestone in our history was vital to us. Emily Penny and Almighty were the perfect partnership. We developed various logos for the different strands of our anniversary celebrations, a trailer to go before each film on the big screen, images for our social media, a souvenir magazine and even some merchandise.
We could have done it all ourselves, as we have in the past, but this partnership took it to the next level, creating a consistent and strong brand that we are very proud of." - Walter Francisco / General Manager
